Justin Peterson
Justin was the first of Leon’s sons to start working at Peterson Development. In 1994, he graduated from the University of Utah, with a Bachelor’s Degree in English and a Minor in Mandarin Chinese. He enjoyed continuing his education working alongside his father getting involved heavily in the acquisition, master-planning and entitling of raw ground. In 1999 he enjoyed the challenge of helping launch Peterson Homes.
When not working you’ll find Justin in the outdoors somewhere, his first love.
Justin and his wife Libby are the parents of Romney, Sawyer and Tatum.
Barrett Peterson
Barrett has been part of the family business since 2001. Cash flow management and understanding the next steps and acquisitions of the company is what Barrett enjoys helping with on a day to day basis. He works alongside his brothers Justin and Ryan to help guide the company into the next generation. Barrett enjoys the camaraderie that exists at Peterson Development with immediate family as well as with the employees who are part of the “Peterson Development family.”

Personal
When he is not in the office, Barrett enjoys spending time with his four children, Duke, Pete, Betsy and Scout. He and his wife, Allison, enjoy raising the kids and sneaking away for family vacations whenever possible. Barrett enjoys the outdoors and playing various sports to stay in shape.
Ashley Beck
Ashley started answering phones at Peterson Development in junior high school and spent every summer there through high school. After graduating from the University of Utah, she started full time over the HR department. She began working from home when she had her first child. She loves and values working with her brothers as well as all of the other employees, who feel like family.
Victor Barnes
Vic received his first Peterson Development paycheck in 1977. He has worn many hats over the years to keep the company moving forward and is now responsible for overseeing the subdividing and development processes. He has entitled and developed projects from Riverton to Ogden. Vic’s engineering background and years of experience are invaluable to planning and completing successful development projects. Outside the office Vic and his wife Jeniel, who has also spent 12 years working at Peterson Development, enjoy boating, fishing, travel, pickleball, disk golf and other activities with their 5 children, their spouses, 4 grandchildren and with their friends.
Paul Stringham
Paul has responsibility of overseeing the company’s commercial development and retail brokering activities. He has over 38 years of commercial real estate experience in development, investment brokering and asset management services. Throughout his career of 36 years with the company he’s been engaged in master planning large commercial projects that include Costco, Walmart, and a number of other grocery, small tenant and single tenant pad uses.
Prior to joining Peterson Development Company he worked with Marcus & Millichap in Phoenix, Arizona, specializing in brokering retail and self-storage properties. Paul holds a bachelor’s degree in communications from the University of Utah.
Paul is a Rotarian, engaged in humanitarian service in Cambodia, sits on various advisory boards and loves to ski and cycle.
Bart Summerhays
Bart was born and raised in Salt Lake City. He is a graduate of the University of Utah, with a bachelor’s degree in finance. He also received an MBA from New York University. Early in his career, Bart was a home builder. He owned and managed a medical services business for 18 years. Bart joined Peterson Development in 2008 and is involved in sales, HOA management and property management. Bart is a licensed Realtor.
Patrick Lowder
Patrick has been with Peterson Development since 2004 and focuses his time on the homebuilding side of the business. During his career Patrick has built numerous residential neighborhoods throughout Utah and Salt Lake Counties. He is involved in every facet of the building process and strives to build quality neighborhoods that exceed expectations.
Lance Ridges
Lance has the responsibility to oversee the company’s commercial construction and development projects, both below and above ground. He oversees tenant remodels and new buildouts in our retail centers and office buildings, and helps with maintenance of our various properties. He has over 40 years of experience in the residential and commercial construction industries. He enjoys spending time with his family, camping, hiking, fishing, and off roading.
Jeniel Barnes
Jeniel has worked for Peterson Development from 1986-1992, and 2014 to present. Early on she worked in development and now works mainly with Peterson Homes.
Her responsibilities are making sure all subcontractors have their general liability and workman’s comp for both the development and homes departments. She does the accounts payable for Peterson Homes. She keeps in-house records of all REPC’s and master subcontract agreements.
Jeniel loves working here alongside her husband, Vic, who works on the development side. She loves being with family, warm weather, reading (when she can), and crafting.
Kaylen Nichols
Kaylen has been the in-house land planner for Peterson Development since 2007. She is responsible for site planning, subdivision design, community master planning, entitlement of development projects, development plan creation, illustrative plans, and project team collaboration with architects, civil engineers, landscape architects, and various home builders and commercial entities. She loves the work she does and truly enjoys watching projects grow from concept to vertical construction to community.
Kaylen received a Bachelor of Science degree in Landscape Architecture and Environmental Planning with a Minor in Horticulture from Utah State University.
In her spare time, she enjoys spending time in the great outdoors with her husband and two energetic children, gardening, and dreaming of more spare time.
Lisa Wilden
Lisa has been a full-time licensed Realtor in Utah and a member of NAR since 1999. She currently serves as the Director of Sales for Peterson Homes. Community sales, marketing, market review, assisting in community and plan design, contract and agent management are a few of her responsibilities with the company. Lisa started her career with Re/Max Associates in 1999, mainly focusing on existing homes sales and investment properties and has been with Peterson Homes since 2007. Lisa loves spending time with family, camping, golfing & beach vacations!
Bill Norton
Bill joined Peterson Development in 2018 after having previously worked for a publicly-traded corporation, a privately-held organization, and a diversified family office. His experience in executive management, real estate, and finance lends itself to supporting various aspects of operations. He has investment management experience in commercial, retail, industrial, and multi-family properties.
Bill graduated from the University of Utah and holds a Master of Business Administration degree with an emphasis in real estate and entrepreneurship, a Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in Integrated Marketing Communications and a minor in Spanish, as well as a real estate sales agent license.
He enjoys spending time with his wife and four children, traveling on vacations, and playing sports.
Jeff Seaman
Jeff joined Peterson Development in 2017 after 16 years in the title industry. He has closed thousands of property sales over the years and has great experience working with purchasers, agents, and lenders. Jeff works in entitlement, development, and cost forecasting. He enjoys working through the different phases of development and seeing the finished product. Jeff loves traveling around the world to such places as Costa Rica, Peru, Italy, Japan, China, Greece, Spain and looks forward to future travels and adventures.
Matt Erickson
Matt joined the Peterson team in 2020, and supports all aspects of the business, including commercial development, land development, and homebuilding. Matt brings with him valuable experience in real estate development, acquisitions, and asset management. Prior to Peterson Development, Matt lived in Dallas, Texas, where he gained institutional real estate investment experience working for both Goldman Sachs’ Merchant Banking Division and TIER REIT, an NYSE-traded REIT. Matt began his career with ICO Development in Salt Lake City.
Matt received a Master of Business Administration degree from The Ohio State University and a Bachelor of Science degree in Construction Management from Brigham Young University.
